Our Yoga Philosophy
We believe that just like surfing… Yoga, is also for everyone. Surfing and yoga work together to help a surfer achieve a clearer mind and a stronger body. Your yoga sessions help strengthen key physical points to the surfing practice such as arms, legs, back, and wrists, minimizing the risks of injuries and most importantly.. improving recovery time after a surf session. Yoga also aids in stronger paddling and faster, more graceful popups.

YOGA FAQs
What if I’ve never done yoga before?
It’s true that if you’ve never done yoga before, you’ll likely find your first few classes quite challenging. But THAT’S OK! You’ll pick it up in no time at all and be glad you did! Raissa is a very patient teacher and will make you feel comfortable in this new setting.
What yoga styles are taught on the retreat?
Each yoga session will include a mix of surf stretches, vinyasa, alignment, and restorative. The week usually starts with surf stretches/vinyasa classes as we warm into our new tropical environment, and we transform into a vinyasa/restorative mix as we get more tired from surfing and doing other activities.
Where will we be doing yoga?
We have a variety of outdoor spaces that will be utilized during the retreat… the beach, beautiful local beach parks, and local gazebos all make great locations for yoga.
